Serving Auckland, New ZealandAuckland Roof Painting Pros
Thoughtful preparation. A considered finish. Start with a conversation about your property.
Our Auckland Gutter Installation service starts with the property and the surfaces involved. For gutter installation, the important considerations include replacement gutter profiles, outlets and fascia condition. Understanding the existing material, coating and condition helps define the right preparation before a finish is selected. Tell us about visible wear, previous work and any areas that need particular attention.
A useful proposal should set out the surfaces included, preparation, any agreed repairs, the coating system and access arrangements. Timing also needs to allow for suitable application and drying conditions. Share your address, photographs and preferred timing through the enquiry form, or call to discuss the project. We can then clarify the details that need assessment and the next step for your property.
Quotes depend on the individual property, surface condition and access.

Replacement sequence
A new run is not just old gutters swapped for new. The work moves in a fixed order, and the middle stage is the one most often skipped in a rushed quote.
Gutters, brackets and old sealant are taken down and removed. Downpipes are disconnected, so mention any that feed a rainwater tank.
With the gutter gone, the fascia can be checked end to end. Soft or split timber is repaired first, with any extra work agreed before it proceeds.
Brackets are set and the run is hung with a slight fall toward the outlets. Joints, corners and downpipe connections are sealed and checked.
Fascia first
Fresh brackets in soft timber will not hold, and a tidy new run can slowly pull away from a rotten fascia. The board is looked at while the old gutter is off, and the quote should say what happens if it needs work.
Replacement scope
Replacement is rarely all or nothing. Pick the case nearest yours to see what to specify.
Practical when one face is failing and the rest is sound. The new run has to meet the old one at the corner, so ask how the profile, colour and joint will be matched.
Gives one consistent profile and colour all round and removes the old system in a single stage. It also brings every outlet and downpipe into the scope.
An extension or lean-to adds roof area that has to drain somewhere. Where it meets the old roof, flashings, outlets and downpipe routes need to be settled together.
The simplest scope: same position, similar profile, fresh brackets and joints. Even a like-for-like swap still needs the fascia and the outlets checked rather than assumed.
Where the water leaves
The run is the visible part. The outlets decide how well it works. Each downpipe drains a stretch of gutter, so where the outlets sit and where they discharge affect how readily the run empties in heavy rain.
Look at where existing downpipes finish: into a drain, onto a path or into a rainwater tank. Moving or adding an outlet changes what happens at ground level, so settle it before the run goes up, not after.

Quote details
A new-gutter quote can be short and still miss things. These are the details that make two quotes comparable.
Name the gutter profile and material proposed, and why it suits your roof edge. Ask how it compares with what is there now.
Ask what holds the run up and how it is fixed to the fascia, so a heavy rain or a build-up of debris is carried by more than sealant.
Ask how corners and joins are made and sealed, because these are where older systems tend to leak first.
Confirm the old gutters and offcuts leave with the job, and what is done to protect gardens and paths below.
See the colour beside your roof, fascia and walls. Ask for the product name and colour to keep with your records.
Deciding the scope
Most disappointment with new gutters starts with a scope that was never pinned down. This is how to pin it down.
From the ground, photograph each side, the corners and every downpipe. Note leaks and stains.
Decide whether it is one side, the lot, or a repair first, and say so clearly in the enquiry.
Put quotes side by side: profile, material, outlets, fascia work and removal. A short quote that skips them is not a like-for-like comparison.
Rotten fascia or an extra outlet can turn up mid-job. Agree in writing how those are priced and approved before work starts.

The payoff
A new gutter system handles Auckland's heavy rainfall properly and protects the whole building for years, replacing runs that leak, sag or rust with a tidy, correctly sized solution built to last.
It is a lasting fix for recurring leaks, rust and overflow, giving you reliable drainage, a cleaner roofline and real protection for the fascia, walls and foundations underneath for years to come.

Existing guttering is taken down and removed where the job is a replacement.
Prepare the edge
The fascia is repaired where needed so the new system has a sound fixing line.
Set the fall
Brackets are positioned and the fall set toward every outlet for proper drainage.
Fit the system
New gutters and downpipes are installed, with joints and corners sealed.
Test and record
Drainage is checked, the site cleared, and the products and any warranty recorded for you.
Gutter Installation FAQ
When leaks, rust or sagging show along most of the run, replacement is usually more sensible than repeated patching. We will give you an honest assessment.
Colorsteel and PVC are common choices, each with different looks and benefits. We can advise what suits your roof, rainfall and budget.
It depends on the roofline length, the number of downpipes, the material and access. Send the details and we will provide a quote.
Yes. Gutters are only as sound as the board they hang from, so the fascia and roof edge are checked and repaired first.
We size the system and set the fall for Auckland's rainfall, positioning downpipes to carry water away efficiently.
Yes, old guttering is removed and disposed of as part of a replacement, unless you arrange otherwise.
