About Us

Your Local Expert in Roof Repair and Maintenance

Auckland roof and property painting

Auckland Roof Painting Pros provides roof painting, restoration, cleaning and related property painting services in Auckland. Our starting point is the condition of the surface: what it is made from, how the existing finish is performing and what preparation is needed. That conversation helps separate a cosmetic refresh from work that needs repairs or further assessment before painting.

Whether you are looking after a home, an investment property or a shared building, a clear brief makes the next step easier. Tell us about the roof or other surfaces, access requirements and the result you want. Explore our service pages for practical considerations, then use the enquiry form or call to discuss your property. The scope, products and timing should be agreed for the individual job.

The way we look

What Our Auckland Roofers Discuss When it comes to Colours

We start with what is there: the material, the coating, the damage and the path water takes off the roof. Colour comes later. If a surface needs repair before paint, we would rather say so plainly than quote around it, because a good finish over a bad surface only delays the problem.

  • What the surface is made of
  • How the coating is behaving
  • Where the water goes

Working principles

Our Mission and Vision

These are the ideas we use to judge a proposal, ours or anyone else's.

Read the surface first

Every surface has a history: what it is made of, how it was last coated, where it has weathered. We treat that as the brief. A colour card comes after the condition is understood, because colour is the easiest thing to change and the surface is not.

Name the work in writing

A scope names the surfaces, the preparation, the repairs that are included and the coating system. It also names what is not included. Writing it down protects both sides from assumptions, and it lets you compare two proposals line by line.

Say where the limits are

Paint cannot cure a structural fault, an active leak or rotten timber. If a surface needs repair or a closer assessment first, that comes before painting, and the proposal should say so. Some questions cannot be answered from photographs alone.

Keep a record with the property

Product names, colour codes and the agreed scope belong on file with the building. When a touch-up is due, or another painter needs to know what is already on the walls, that record saves guesswork.

Two ways to scope

Paint-only quote, or scope with repairs

Two proposals for the same roof can look alike on the surface and describe very different jobs. Here is what separates them.

A price on paint only

  • Lists the coat and the colour, with little about the surface beneath
  • Cleaning, repairs and priming are assumed, left vague or missing
  • Looks simple to compare, which makes real differences hard to spot
  • Damage found later becomes a surprise or a dispute

A scope with preparation and repairs

  • Names the surfaces, the cleaning method and the repairs included
  • States the primer, topcoat and colour system in writing
  • Explains what happens if more damage appears after cleaning
  • Sets out access, protection of surroundings and how the job is staged

The second takes more words to write and more care to read. It is also the version you can hold to, and compare fairly against any other proposal.

Your side of the brief

Bring these to the conversation

A good scope depends on good information. These details make a first conversation useful to both of us.

  • The address, and how many storeys the building has
  • Photographs taken safely from the ground, wide and close
  • What you have noticed: peeling, staining, leaks, rust or moss
  • Anything you know about earlier painting or repairs
  • Who else has a say: tenants, neighbours, a body corporate
  • The result you want, and any date that really matters
